A coffee table can play several roles. It’s somewhere to put drinks and snacks down when you’re relaxing. A place to carefully display art books or interiors magazines. And, if it has hidden storage like this one does – a place to keep games, notebooks, playing cards and other bits and bobs organised and out of sight. Ideally, it should look good too. So we’ve taken inspiration from the timeless simplicity and elegance of mid-century furniture when designing our coffee table. We’ve crafted it from solid light oak and oak veneers, and finished it with a clear matt lacquer to bring out the wood’s natural beauty and character. We’ve given it rounded corners and round tapered legs to soften its silhouette, and we’ve added a drawer that can be opened from both sides. And to maintain its clean lines the drawer handles are set inside circular-cut-outs.
